Lafayette Hill Man Gets Strange Check from Russia, Police Say

The counterfeit check was for '$15,000 pounds.'

A Lafayette Hill man will have to wait a bit longer to unload his bike.

According to police, the local man posted his motorcycle — a 1997 Honda PC 800 — for sale in an online motorcycle forum for $3,500. A short time later, the man began receiving correspondence from another man regarding the sale of the Honda.

The owner of the bike then received a check for “$15,000 pounds” from the man on Thursday … the Lafayette man immediately noticed that the check was fraudulent, police said.
