Totaro's Closing, StoneRose Owner Taking Over

Totaro's in Conshohocken will close around New Years.

After 51 years of business, Totaro's in Conshohocken will be closing at the end of the year, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. The StoneRose owner Brian Pieri will take over, and plans to convert the location into a Mediterranean style pizza kitchen. According to the Inquirer, Totaro's owner Andrew Totaro decided to close the restaurant after he was unable to find a replacement for business partner Dran Kreglo, who moved to Florida. He couldn't find any takers, but did speak with Pieri, who impressed him. "He has so much enthusiasm, the likes of which I haven't seen [in the restaurant business] in years," the article quoted Totaro as saying. Totaro's Announces Special Olympic Games Menu

Offering traditional English pub fare in honor of London games.

Totaro's restaurant in Conshohocken will be offering a special menu for the next two weeks in honor of the Olympic Games. The restaurant will feature a number of items traditionally found in the pubs of London, the host city of 2012 games. Totaro's will also still serve its usual Italian specialities, along with special "game dishes." Totaro's is located at 729 East Hector Street in Conshocken.
