Totaro's Closing, StoneRose Owner Taking Over
Totaro's in Conshohocken will close around New Years.
After 51 years of business, Totaro's in Conshohocken will be closing at the end of the year, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. The StoneRose owner Brian Pieri will take over, and plans to convert the location into a Mediterranean style pizza kitchen. According to the Inquirer, Totaro's owner Andrew Totaro decided to close the restaurant after he was unable to find a replacement for business partner Dran Kreglo, who moved to Florida. He couldn't find any takers, but did speak with Pieri, who impressed him. "He has so much enthusiasm, the likes of which I haven't seen [in the restaurant business] in years," the article quoted Totaro as saying.
