At Patch, we don’t take shortcuts. That’s why we hire professional
editors and contributors in each of our towns and personally visit
every business in our Directory at least once a year.
Despite our best efforts, sometimes a personal visit is not possible
— a business might be run out of a home or the owner may be too busy.
In this case, we list the business on Patch with as much information as
we have. And because we believe in full disclosure, we include our
verification disclaimer.
We are always looking for feedback on our listings and the verification
process, so if you see incorrect information or have an opinion, please
send us your thoughts. If you are the owner or manager of a business or
organization, you can claim a listing and help determine what
information is displayed on Patch.
Called last year when I moved into the area and needed an area doctor. The woman on the phone made me think I was nuts for trying to get an appointment, "well, it's not going to be for another month if we can even get you in..." as if I'm the first person ever to call with such an outrageous request! Her tone was awful. It ended up being two months until I could be seen. By that time I found someone else, called two days prior and left a message that I had to cancel.
The day of the appointment she called me leaving me a message on how inconsiderate I was not to cancel and how I took someone else's appointment, honestly about a three minute message. Spoke to a friend the other day with a similar story about what an unbelievably rude woman he dealt with when he called there and reminded me to write a review about it.
