Pro Football Conshohocken Native Returns For Free Youth Football Clinic

Da'Rel Scott, New York Giants running back and Plymouth Whitemarsh grad, will host his second-annual football clinic for youth.

Conshohocken native Da’Rel Scott was the running back for theSuper Bowl XLVI championship team the New York Giants. He’ll be returning to his hometown on June 22, for his second-annual Free Youth Football Clinic.

The clinic will take place from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the A-Field, located at 11th and Harry St. in Conshohocken.

The clinic is geared toward youth ages 8 – 14. It is organized through the Fellowship House of Conshohocken, whose mission is to provide recreation and education service opportunities for the residents in and around Conshohocken Borough.

Through the Fellowship House website, Scott provided a statement, explaining his reason for holding the youth football clinic:

“I started the football clinic for the youth of my home town and nearby communities.
My goal and its message to them is no matter what, I care and will be there to encourage, be supportive and let them know it is possible to fulfill your dreams with hard work, determination and many prayers. One of the most important things is that it brings joy to them. Myself and those that are giving themselves to help, look forward of having fun with them during the football clinic.”

According to the website, the football clinic will only accept the first 200 applicants, and registration for this event ends June 8.

Registration check in starts at 8 a.m. on the day of the event.
