GA Sports: Field Hockey Plays to Draw with Princeton Day

Teams tie with two goals apiece.

The Germantown Academy field hockey team (0-1-1) played to a draw against Princeton Day Friday, with each team netting two goals. Lady Patriots Allie Carrigan and Megan McGinnis each scored, while Katie Westrum and Catherine Perlmutter assisted.

The two squads were evenly matched offensively, with Germantown Academy firing twenty shots, one more than Princeton Day's 19. The teams looked to be about equal in goal as well, as GA's Ashley Piszek stopped 15 shots to her counterpart's 12.

Germantown Academy next takes to the field on Tuesday, when they travel to Conwell Egan Catholic High School for a 3:45 p.m. game.

Small quibble perhaps, however, last time I checked, Stella Blu and Gypsy Saloon were both in WestRead More Conshohocken, not Conshohocken. Credit where credit is due, please. I'm terribly proud of my hometown, you see.
