Colonial SD Seeking Board Member after Knudsen Resigns
School board member Julie Knudsen resigned this week.
The Colonial School District is seeking applications for a vacant school board seat after member Julie Knudsen stepped down this week. The district announced Knudsen's resignation through an e-mail Tuesday night, stating that she stepped down for personal reasons.
Knudsen has been serving on the school board since her election in 2011. According to the e-mail, interested applicants must be a resident of the Colonial School District and possess a "keen interest in public education."
Applications can be found here or in the superintendent's office at Colonial Elementary School, or by request at 610-834-1671 (ext. 2132) or dsherman@colonialsd.org.
The deadline for applications is Friday, Dec. 7, and the school board will appoint a new member on Dec. 19, the e-mail stated.
