Colonial Schools Certified AYP for 2010-2011

The state Department of Education has high marks on its yearly report card for the Colonial School District.

All seven Plymouth-Whitemarsh area public schools earned Adequate Yearly Process, (AYP) accreditation for the 2010-2011 school year, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Education report cards.

The recently released report cards, which chart proficiency and school effectiveness throughout the state, marked all Colonial School District schools as “making sufficient annual progress towards the goal of 100 percent (Reading and Math) proficiency.”

According to a release on the DoE website, “AYP … measures student results for three indicators … attendance or graduation rate, academic performance and test participation.”
