Whitemarsh Democrats Sworn as Supervisors

Two new supervisors were sworn in Tuesday night, making Whitemarsh's Board of Supervisors a wholly Democrat-controlled entity

Whitemarsh welcomed two new supervisors and one returning at the board reorganization meeting Tuesday night.

Democrats Cathy Peduzzi and Amy Grossman were sworn in as Whitemarsh supervisors, along with incumbent Democrat Sara Erlbaum.

With the three supervisors, along with current board members Bob Hart and Melissa Sterling, Whitemarsh’s board of supervisors is now a completely Democrat-controlled entity.

“I look forward to serving the township and doing everything I can to make things progress in a way that is appealing to as many people as possible,” Peduzzi said after taking her position on the board. “We will try our best to bring everyone together and enjoy living in this great township.”

Grossman said she considered serving as supervisor “a great honor.”

“I look forward to a wonderful relationship [with the township],” she said.

Hart was unanimously voted to maintain his position as board chair.

“We have a great opportunity to do some really amazing things in Whitemarsh,” he said. “It is a real honor to serve with [my fellow supervisors] we’re going to do some great things. Let’s make some real progress in Whitemarsh.”

Erlbaum, who was voted vice chair, shared Hart’s optimism.

“Were going to move forward and make this a great place to live,” she said.
