Joshua Road will be closed between Germantown and Ridge Pikes on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Feb. 25 and June 7 while a new water main is installed, according to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

The construction, contracted by Aqua Pennsylvania, will detour traffic from Germantown Pike to Ridge Pike via Butler Pike. Local access will be maintained.

Drivers are cautioned to allow extra time when traveling in this area.

Couldn't they have waited until school let out in June? The traffic is already bad enough around Plymouth-Whitemarsh HS and the commute to and from school is about to get a lot worse. Bad planning.
