The township just announced that the planning commission meeting agenda for tonight will be changing back to the orginal plan, as the applicant for 400 block of West Elm Street has been asked to be moved to next month.

For residents planning to attend the Conshohocken Planning Commission Meeting at 7 p.m. to offer input regarding Wawa plans, the agenda has been changed.
According to the updated agenda, a conditional use review of the 400 block of West Elm Street will be held prior to the proposed zoning amendment and tentative sketch plan review the Fayette Street Wawa.
The agenda states that the Wawa discussion should begin around 8 p.m. and will last roughly two hours.
The sketch plan review for Millennium Block A, Phase 2, is scheduled for 10 p.m. and should last around 30 minutes, according to the agenda.
ORIGINAL STORY:
The Conshohocken Planning Commission will discuss the proposed Fayette Street Wawa at its Jan. 22 meeting, to be held at Washington Fire Co. on West Elm Street in the borough.
At the meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m., the planning commission will consider the proposed zoning amendment to the residential-office district and the tentative sketch plan the former E.F. Moore Chevrolet property on Fayette and 11th Ave.
This formal meeting follows a lengthy November meeting that brought out over 100 residents to discuss the proposal.
At the meeting, Provco Pineville Fayette L.P. and Wawa presented a plan with a request for a text amendment to the borough’s code to allow Wawa in the residential/office district.
The presentation was met with a lot of feedback – both positive and negative – from the audience.
The debate has also raged online, with separate petitions – "We Want Conshohocken Wawa” and “Say No to Another Wawa in Conshohocken.”
Planning Commission members Joseph Dougherty, Jr. and Aaron Weems recused themselves from this vote, so Matt Mittman, Brian Tobin, and chairman David Bertram will consider the proposal.
The commission will decide on recommending the text amendment, and borough council will make the final decision.
