Conshy Dog Park Should be Completed by June, Council Says

The park is located on Washington Street behind the Riverwalk at Millennium Apartment Complex.

Conshohocken Borough Councilman Raj Gupta announced at the borough’s Feb. 20 meeting that the Conshohocken Dog Park is nearing completion, after council authorized a $5,000 loan to the Dog Park Committee.

“Hopefully we’ll have a dog park in Conshy by May or June,” Gupta said.

According to Gupta, fencing is now up in the area, and they are waiting for the “ground to harden” for more landscaping.

As previously reported by Patch, council approved a deal in July with Kynetic, Inc., to construct the dog park in addition to a helipad on a 100 foot strip of borough-owned property behind the Riverwalk at Millennium Apartment Complex.

Kynetic will then pay a $5,000 annual fee for five years, and will then have the option to enter into a second five-year agreement with a $10,000 annual rate.

In addition to the $5,000 expense approval, council voted to have the funds for the park sit in the borough’s general fund.
