WPD Reports: Three Swords Stolen from Car on Joshua Road

All information is according to official police reports filed at the Whitemarsh Township Police Department. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Theft:
At approximately 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14, a resident of the 4000 block of Joshua Road reported to police that several items were stolen from her vehicle after she left it unlocked overnight. The victim told police that she was in the process of moving, and reported the following items as stolen:

• A set of two swords with beige and white snakeskin sheaths
• A sword with a copper sheath with inset rhinestones
• 3 Verizon cell phones
• 1 Tom Tom GPS
• 2 pairs of sunglasses
• Numerous sealed boxes of 1980’s baseball cards
• Numerous picture frames

Public Drunkenness:
At approximately 12:46 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, police responded to the Holiday Inn Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue in Fort Washington for the report of disruptive guest. According to a police report, a guest reported that his friend, who was staying with him, had become drunk and disruptive.

Upon arrival, police identified the actor as Shane Duhaime, 41, of Manchester, N.H., and said they detected the strong odor of alcohol coming from his person. Duhaime was placed under arrest for suspicion of public drunkenness, and became “verbally abusive” to everyone at the scene upon being escorted outside, police said.

Duhaime continued to yell and curse as he was transported to the Whitemarsh Police station. Once in his cell, he continued to scream and curse, and threatened to fight all of the police officers, the report said.

Public drunkenness:
At approximately 1:46 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, a police officer on patrol near the Fort Washington entrance onto the turnpike observed a silver Mercedes SUV parked to the side of the road on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Police approached the vehicle and determined its occupant to be Patrick Lombard, 26, of Villa Drive, Ambler. Police said they detected the strong odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle. Lombard told the officers that he was moving from Ambler to East Falls when he parked the vehicle.

A friend of Lombard’s agreed to come and transport him from the scene, and police advised Lombard that he would be receiving a citation for public drunkenness.

Domestic incident:
At approximately 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14, police arrested a 60-year-old Lafayette Hill man after they allegedly witnessed him pushing and shoving his wife in an altercation.

Police originally responded to their home after a family member called to report that the two were involved in an altercation. According to the filed report, police separated all parties and thought the situation was resolved, but upon leaving, witnessed the man pushing his wife up against a wall. The suspect was then arrested and brought to the Whitemarsh Police station.

Theft:
At approximately 11:29 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, a resident of the 600 block of Church Road, Flourtown, reported to police that someone had stolen two wooden and iron benches and a medal milk container from their property. The family at that location had been moving possessions out of the house prior to selling it.

Fraud:
At approximately 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, a resident of the 2100 block of Birch Drive, Lafayette Hill, reported to police that someone had attempted to open a PECO account in her name. The resident suspected that it might have been one of her garbage collectors.

Fraud:
At approximately 12:01 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, a resident of the 700 block of Elm Street, Conshohocken, reported to police that someone had made five unauthorized charges to her Citizens Bank account. The charges totaled approximately $893.99, and were paid to utility providers.
