Woman Flown to Philly Hospital After Crashing into Cars, Stone Wall in Conshohocken

The unidentified woman was flown by medevac to a Philadelphia hospital for treatment of her injuries.

According to Chief Steve Phipps of the Conshohocken Fire Department, emergency personnel responded to the area of 8th and Jones streets in Conshohocken at approximately 4:15 on Tuesday, Dec. 18, for a automobile crash with an injured driver.

According to Phipps, the unidentifed woman was travelling east on 8th Street in a white Nissan Murano when she apparently veered left and struck two parked cars, mounted the curb and struck a small stone wall on a nearby lawn.

The woman was removed from the vehicle, immobilized on a stretcher, and flown by medevac to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for treatment of her injuries, the severity of which are unknown.

Emergency vehicles are still clearing the scene as of 5 p.m. The Nissan and one other vehicle had to be towed from the scene.

Other responders included Washington Fire Co. No. 1, Plymouth Fire Company, Conshohocken Fire Company No. 2, and Narberth Ambulance.
