Woman Flips Car While Driving with Two Dogs, Police Say

Whitemarsh Police arrested a Plymouth Meeting woman last week after they say she crashed and flipped her car while driving with her two dogs.

Elizabeth Ann Gray, 52, of the 3100 block of Colony Lane, was arrested Oct. 8 shortly before 8:30 p.m. after she drove off the roadway and up a curb, striking a stone wall near the corner of Spring Mill Avenue and Tracey Road, police said.

According to police, the car landed on its driver’s side door and Gray had to be extracted by first responders by breaking the car’s glass sunroof.

While Whitemarsh Ambulance crews treated Gray, she said that one of the two dogs in her car had distracted her, police said.

Gray smelled of alcohol, had glassy eyes and was slurring her speech, according to police. She also said that she had “a couple of drinks” earlier in the day.
