Update: Second Suspect in Ridge Pike Armed Robbery Arrested

A Philadelphia man was arrested for his alleged role in an armed robbery in Plymouth Township.

Philadelphia Police on Saturday arrested a second suspect allegedly involved in the armed robbery of an elderly man in a real estate office on Ridge Pike in Plymouth Township.

John Jones, aka Christopher Jones, 48, of the 2900 block of North Taylor Street, Philadelphia, was arrested by the Philadelphia Police Department’s 25th Police District following a phone tip, according to Plymouth Township Police. He was then transported to Plymouth Township, arraigned before District Justice Henry Schireson and remanded to Montgomery County Prison in lieu of $200,000 bail.

Plymouth Township and Philadelphia Police attempted to arrest Jones at his residence on Thursday, but he was not home.

According to Plymouth Township Police, the two suspects entered a real estate business in the 1300 block of Ridge Pike on Oct. 10 shortly before 9 a.m. after they were “buzzed in” under the guise of seeking a home to rent. When the 84-year-old victim said that there were no available rental units, the first suspect pointed a dark colored handgun at the victim.

The second suspect, tied the victim to his desk chair, while the first suspect reached into the victim’s pockets and took out all of his money.

The suspects then fled out the same door in which they entered, toward an alley behind the business.

The other suspect, Leroy Still Jr., 66 of the 300 block of East Hector Street, was arraigned on Thursday before District Justice Juanita Price and sent to Montgomery County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail, according to police.
