Two Women Cited After Crack Found in SUV: Police

Whitemarsh Police arrested a Philadelphia woman following a traffic stop, and cited her for drug possession.

Sharon Burton, 43, of the 200 block of Willow Grove Avenue, was cited following a traffic stop in the 700 block of Bethlehem Pike on Friday at about 10 a.m. According to police, the vehicle Burton was driving did not have insurance, and Burton's license was suspended and expired, dating back to 2007.

There were several pieces of thin copper wire on the floor of the vehicle, which are commonly used to pack makeshift pipes for smoking crack, police said. Police also said they found a vial of suspected crack behind the driver's seat.
