Theft 'Victim' to Police: Never Mind

A woman calls Whitemarsh police ... after she finds her designer duds.

A 56-year-old Villanova woman who filed a report with Whitemarsh Police earlier this month claiming that her $600 Ralph Lauren bag had been stolen, left a message with police on Jan. 7 shortly after 5 p.m.

The issue? She found the bag, and its expensive contents ... at her house.

The bag had more than $1,200 worth of stuff in it, including a Gucci wallet worth $450; a Louis Vuitton cosmetics bag worth $350; Prada sunglasses worth $318; and $110 in cash.

The woman had initially said that the bag and its contents were stolen from the floor of a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Pheasant Lane on Dec. 31; there were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle.
