Portion of Route 263 to be Renamed in Honor of Fallen Officer Bradley Fox

Plymouth Township Police Officer Bradley Fox, originally from Warminster, was killed in the line of duty in September 2012, just one day before his 35th birthday.

A portion of Route 263 in Bucks County will be renamed as the Officer Bradley M. Fox Memorial Highway, lawmakers announced this week.

Fox, an officer with the Plymouth Township Police Department, was killed in the line of duty on Sept. 13, 2012, just one day before his 35th birthday. He was originally from Warminster.

Route 263 between Street Road and Bristol Road will be renamed to honor Fox. The portion of the road was selected because it’s near the ice rink where Fox played hockey as a youth, officials said.

“It is important that we honor this local hero who fearlessly served his community, which is why I drafted the legislation to make the memorial highway possible,” said Bernie O’Neill (R-Bucks). “I applaud everyone’s efforts on passing this legislation.”

Fox was a seven-year veteran of the police force and a Marine who served two tours of duty in Iraq.
