Police Make Drug Arrest at Giant

An Ohio woman was arrested on drug charges after she was allegedly begging for money at the Whitemarsh Giant.

Whitemarsh Police arrested an Ohio woman on Sunday, Aug. 11 on drug charges after she was allegedly begging for money outside of Giant Foods on Ridge Pike.

Tiffany Marie Juliana, 31, of the unit block of North Fourth Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio, was arrested shortly after 11:30 a.m. in the Giant parking lot. According to police, a woman wearing a pink top, jean shorts and sandals, later identified as Juliana, was begging for money. After seeing police, Juliana got into her Cadillac with two other people and attempted to back out of a parking spot, police said.

According to police, Juliana said she was soliciting people for cash to get back home. As police spoke to Juliana, she began to make movements toward a pink purse sitting on the center console of her vehicle.

In the bag were two orange cellophane baggies containing suspected crack cocaine; 12 empty blue heroin baggies labeled “HARDCORE;” nine needles; a crack pipe; two empty plastic caps; and four clear cellophane baggies commonly used to package drugs.

Juliana and one of her passengers, Rebecca Carper, were both found to have warrants out of Florida.

Juliana is being held at Montgomery County Prison on $10,000 bail; she was also arrested on July 25 in Montgomery Township on drug-related charges.
