Police Investigating Body Removed from Conshohocken Hotel

Police called to hotel Tuesday evening.

Conshohocken Police are currently investigating a Tuesday night incident in which a body was removed from the Marriott Residence Inn, located near the Conshohocken waterfront.

Police Chief Michael Orler confirmed that a body had been removed from the hotel, but declined to say whether foul play is suspected, stating that the matter is under investigation. He also declined to say the age or gender of the deceased person, or who found the body and where.

Police were originally called to the hotel, located just east of the Matsonford Bridge at 191 Washington Street, for the report of an unresponsive subject at approximately 7:23 p.m. Shortly after, officers could be heard radioing for the county coroner, and also asking a dispatcher to make contact with a Lower Merion police officer. The reason for that contact is unknown.

A dispatcher in the county communication's room told Patch that while an ambulance was sent to the scene, it had left by 8:15 p.m.

Orler confirmed that the county coroner's office is also conducting an investigation.  Employees of that office said that no further details are available and that a cause of death has not been determined.

David Powell, Associate Regional Editor for Montgomery County Patches, contributed to this report.

Small quibble perhaps, however, last time I checked, Stella Blu and Gypsy Saloon were both in WestRead More Conshohocken, not Conshohocken. Credit where credit is due, please. I'm terribly proud of my hometown, you see.
