Plymouth Meeting Woman Faces Felony Drug Charges

Whitemarsh Police arrested a Plymouth Meeting woman at Giant Foods after she allegedly tampered with a doctor's prescription.

April N. Perry, 39, of Belvoir Road, was arrested Tuesday, Dec. 3 shortly before 9 p.m. after the pharmacist at Giant called the police. According to the affidavit of probable cause, Perry was allegedly trying to pass a fraudulent prescription for 120 Oxycontin pills and 60 Oxycodone by modifying a script that was written by a Chestnut Hill Hospital doctor.

According to the complaint, the scripts "looked odd;"  the pharmacist called the hospital to confirm the scripts and was told that the two were originally written out for Percocet and Tramadol.

Perry denied that the scripts were altered, police said.

According to police, "it was evident" that the prescriptions had been altered because the ink did not match and there was White Out on the bottom corner of the prescription sheet.

Perry was charged forgery, tampering with records and related drug charges.
