Conshy Man Cited for Coke Possession After Falling Off Bike, Police Say

The man admitted to 'shooting up' cocaine prior to falling off a bicycle in Whitemarsh, according to police.

Whitemarsh Police cited a man who they say fell off a bicycle while high.

Jeffrey Papiro, 30, of the unit block of Corson Road, Conshohocken, was cited on Wednesday at about 8:30 p.m. after someone called the police to report a man who had fallen off of a bicycle in the unit block of Taylor Road. 

According to police, Papiro was lethargic, incoherent and sweating profusely in the cold weather; he said that he was prescribed and currently taking Xanax, police said.

Prior to placing Papiro in a police car, police found Papiro to be in possession of a syringe and two small white packets with the "Batman" symbol on them, later determined to be cocaine, police said. According to police, Papiro said he had "shot up" cocaine earlier. 

While in custody, Papiro's physical condition worsened, and he had to be transported to Chestnut Hill Hospital.

Papiro was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.   

According to court documents, Papiro has a lengthy criminal history, including arrests dating back to 2002.
