Ambler Woman Arrested on Suspicion of DUI

The woman allegedly crashed her vehicle and continued driving.

Whitemarsh Police arrested an ambler woman on suspicion of DUI early Saturday morning after police saw her allegedly driving a car that had recently crashed. 

Jessika Sigrid Taylor, of the 200 block of Main Street, was arrested shortly before 2:45 a.m. after police said she was driving near the corner of Flourtown Road and Stenton Avenue with a freshly-damaged vehicle. 

According to police, Taylor's vehicle, an Infiniti sedan, had front end damage, a flat tire and steam emanating from the engine bay.

Another police officer said he had heard what he believed to be a crash in the area, according to the report. 

When asked if she was involved in a crash, Taylor said that she believed she had a flat tire, police said; she also said that she had "one drink" at a friend's house in Philadelphia.

Taylor smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech, failed three field sobriety tests and could not perform a portable breath test, police said. 

Charges are pending the results of a blood test.
