Meet Our New Local Editor

Brittany Tressler is the new local editor for the Plymouth-Whitemarsh-Conshohocken Patch.

Hi, Patch Readers!

I want to take a second to introduce myself as the new local editor of the Plymouth – Whitemarsh – Conshohocken Patch.

Find out what's happening in Plymouth-Whitemarshwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

I’ve been with Patch for about six months, and am also the Perkiomen Valley Patch editor.

I graduated from the University of Maryland in 2006 with a degree in Journalism. I’ve worked as an entertainment writer, a copyeditor for military magazines, an outreach coordinator for a local state representative, and in local and county politics.

Yes...politics.  I spent four years of my life ingrained in the Republican Party on a local, state, and national level.  However, I have a journalistic responsiblity to report the news fairly, and I've been doing (and will continue to do) just that. I must say, after working in politics for what felt like a lifetime, it's pretty nice to look at things completely objectively for a change!

I’ve lived on East North Lane in Whitemarsh Township for almost two years, and before that I lived in West Conshohocken for about a year. I'm a member of St. Matt's in Conshohocken, where I teach CCD, and when I'm not in the area, I'm usually visiting my family in Lower Gwynedd and Souderton.

I look forward to providing you with comprehensive local news - municipal, school and crime stories, breaking events, community features and more.

If you know of any stories that you think need coverage, or if you have suggestions or criticisms, please don't hesitate to contact me at 484-684-4590 or at brittany.tressler@patch.com. You can also find our Patch on Facebook here.

See you around town!
