William T. Dalton, Retired Bucks Chief Sheriff

Dalton's funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at St. Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill.

William T. Dalton, of Buckingham, died Wednesday, Jan. 1 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 71.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William and Florence Kingcade Dalton.

Dalton was a retired Chief Sheriff for Bucks County.

He was a graduate of Edison High School in Philadelphia, and was a member of Saint Robert Bellamine Catholic Church in Warrington.

Dalton is survived by two sons, William of Bryn Mawr and Brian C. Dalton of Lafayette Hill; one sister, Ann Walsh; one brother, Thomas; and several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Tuesday, Jan. 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Lowes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill; and on Wednesday, Jan. 8 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lower Merion.
