Pietro Morone, of Plymouth Meeting
Morone's funeral Mass will be today at Holy Saviour Church in Norristown.
Pietro Morone, of Plymouth Meeting, died Sunday, Jan. 12. He was 87.
Born in Calamonaci, Sicily, he was the son of the late Antonio and Antonina Morone. He was the widower of Giuseppina (Chirafesi) Morone.

Morone is survived by three daughters, Antonina Cocchiara, Maria Danile and Enza Marino; seven grandchildren, Sabino, Pietro, Joseph, Marialisa, Alyssa, Danielle and Nicole; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters and his son-in-law.
Morone’s life celebration service will be held Friday, Jan. 17 from 8 to 9:15 a.m. at Boyd-Horrox of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike; his funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at Holy Saviour Church, 407 East Main St., Norristown. Entombment will be in St. Matthew’s Mausoleum in Conshohocken.
