Mary C. Foley, Formerly of Plymouth Meeting

Mary C. (O’Connor) “Sis” Foley, of Souderton, died Friday, Dec. 6 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester. She was 87.

Born in Conshohocken, she was also a resident of Wilmington, Del. and West Chester.

Foley was a member of St. Matthew’s RC Church in Conshohocken and was a retired bookkeeper for Widener University.

She is survived by two sons, Patrick of West Chester and William Foley of San Francisco; two daughters, Eileen Solomon of Souderton and Alice O'Connor of Conshohocken; and a sister, Catherine Hoy of Audubon. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Nicole, Michael, Kevin, Connor, Katie-Ann, Shannon, Erin and Benjamin; and two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Lucas. Mrs. Foley is also survived by two great-grandchildren: Aiden and Lucas.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael; a daughter, Maureen Helwig; a sister, Teresa Ryan; and four brothers, Matthew, Michael, Thomas and James O’Connor.

Foley’s funeral Mass was held Tuesday at St. Matthew’s RC Church, Conshohocken. Interment was in St. Matthew’s Cemetery.
