Jane Allen, of Lafayette Hill

Jane Allen, of Lafayette Hill, died Sunday, Dec. 15 at St. Joseph’s Manor. She was 88.

Born in Cheltenham, she was the daughter of the late Arthur L. Bayer and the late Emma Mary (Stadel) Bayer. She was widow of the late Walter E. Allen; mother of Barbara Eckenrode and Constance Walters; grandmother of Brian Eckenrode, Keith Eckenrode, Jessica Schutt, and Kimberly Walters; and great-grandmother of Kaelyn, Aubrey, Cierra, Kyle, and Kevin Eckenrode, and Annalise Schutt.

Allen was raised and educated in Cheltenham. She graduated from Cheltenham High School in 1943. After her schooling, Allen went to work at FMC (formerly Stokes and Smith).

Allen’s visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 18 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Crossroads Bible Church, 855 Old Huntingdon Pike, Huntingdon Valley. Her graveside service will follow at Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Road, Roslyn.

Religious services will be conducted by the Rev. Bruce Carter of Valley View Community Church in Audubon.
