Henry Frazer Parry, 99, Germantown Academy Graduate

Parry's memorial service will be held Nov. 1.

Henry Frazer Parry, of Gwynedd, died Friday, Oct. 4 at Foulkeways. He was 99.

He was the son of the late Judge George Gowen and Sara Fox Parry.

Parry was a Germantown Academy graduate, Class of 1932; and attended Haverford College; and The University of Pennsylvania Medical School, Class of 1940. He completed his residency at Pennsylvania Hospital.

He was the founding director of Magee Memorial Hospital and later served as Director of Rehabilitation Services at All Saints Rehabilitation Hospital.

Parry was the last surviving of seven brothers, George Jr., Edward, Richard, Francis, John, and Stephen. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Anderson Parry; his daughter, Martha; and his step-son Steven Shaffer.

Memorial contributions may be made to Foulkeways’ Landscape Fund for Woodland Restoration.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. at Church of The Messiah, 1001 DeKalb Pike, Lower Gwynedd.
