Carmella Rita ‘Mollie’ DeNendo, Former Seamstress, of Conshohocken

Carmella Rita "Mollie" DeNendo, of Conshohocken, died Sunday, Jan. 19 at Brandywine Senior Suites in East Norriton. She was 95.

Born in Conshohocken, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Assunta (Benedetto) DeSimone.

She was the widow of John J. DeNendo.

DeNendo attended St. Matthew’s School and later worked as a seamstress for H.C. Jones Textile Co. of Conshohocken, Bridgeport Pants Co. and Jacob Reeds and Thorngate of Norristown; she retired in 1985. 

She was a member of Ss. Cosmas and Damian Church in Conshohocken.

She is survived by a sister Jean Testa; a brother, Louis DeSimone; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Connie Coccia, Anne DeVitis and Angelo DeSimone.

Her funeral Mass was yesterday at Ss. Cosmas and Damian Church in Conshohocken. Interment was in St. Matthew Cemetery.
