Alfred Jay Richart, of The Masonic Village in Lafayette Hill, died Thursday Jan. 23 in Chestnut Hill Hospital. He was 82.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a longtime resident of Roxborough and a 1949 graduate of Roxborough High School.
He was a retired shipper, employed by the Burpee Seed Co. in Warminster and a member of the Roxborough Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife Joyce (Manton) Richart; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. at Lownes Funeral Home, 659 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill.
Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park.
