THE WAR OF 1812: The War Which Forged a Nation

The War of 1812 is a misunderstood and in many ways a "forgotten war". Raging from June 1812, the war had many positive repercussions. American proved herself, taking a place among the most powerful nations, gaining stature  in the eyes of the world. An American icon, the Star-Spangled Banner, was born, the song becoming our National Anthem and the flag which flew above Fort McHenry treasured as proof of our dedication to liberty.

Gene Pisacale is an approved speaker for the Delaware Humanities Forum and has traveled extensively to many historic sites. He has published five books, conducts an ongoing lecture series on historical topics and contributes his series "Living History" to many media outlets around the Philadelphia area.
