Brandywine Senior Living at Senior Suites Celebrates National Assisted Living Week

(East Norriton, PA)–In observance of National Assisted Living Week®, September 8 to 14, Brandywine Senior Living at Senior Suites will host a series of events with their theme “Grandparents and Family Happiness” developed as a special opportunity to bring together residents, families, employees, volunteers and the surrounding community to celebrate “Homemade Happiness."

“Homemade Happiness” was chosen because it is about celebrating those times, both present and past, that brought us happiness yesterday, fulfills us today, and will inspire the memories of tomorrow.

“Homemade Happiness” celebrates the child in all of us. Whether it is a resident’s first try at hopscotch, the high school dance or their first trip to the Jersey Shore, life is about finding happiness as we move on our journey through life. Randy Hampton, Executive Director at Senior Suites says, “This weeklong celebration is a demonstration of the commitment assisted living professionals feel when providing care and services to residents in their communities. There’s really nothing like it."

Some of the week’s special events include:

Grandparents and Family Happiness – Sunday, September 8th at 11:00 AM - Enjoy a western carnival with horse drawn carriage rides, ice cream truck with 30 different flavors, western line dancing, karaoke station, chuck wagon and much more.

Homemade Cookin’ for the Day-- Monday September 9th--3:30 PM - Who doesn’t love mac and cheese? Staff members will present homemade mac and cheese with real pasta and cheese. The esteemed panel of judges (staff and community representatives) will decide who wins.

Homemade Multicultural Celebration – Thursday, September 12th at 2:30 PM - Cultural diversity is highlighted through dance, music, art, storytelling, food and much more. Marvel at the great food form around the world, colorful outfits and unique music.

Home Is Where I Want to Be – Friday, September 13th at 3:30 PM - What fun!! Mr. and Ms. Senior Suites 2013 Award Ceremony and After-Party. What a party! DJ Miguel hosts, awards are presented to Mr. and Ms. Senior Suites winners, the coveted, “Happiness Producer” award is presented and a memorable gift for all residents will be presented.
