Local Instagram Photos Now Searchable by Location

Residents can now search photos on Instagram by location – right down to the Casmar Café or Ikea – on Worldcam.com.

Worldcam.com is a search engine that allows visitors to search for Instagram photos by location, using applications programing interfaces (APIs) from Instagram, Fousquare, Geonames and Geoplugin, according to PC World.

By typing in “Lucky Dog Saloon” in “Whitemarsh, Pennsylvania,” you can see foodie photos, signs from the men’s bathroom, candid bartender shots, local patrons, and to name a few.

Browsing through “Conshohocken, Pennsylvania” photos, you’ll see tons of scenic views of downtown, photos of babies, beer, barbeques and other photos.

By searching “Greater Plymouth Community Center” in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, you’ll see shots of the fields, members working out, kids splashing around in the pool and more.

“We all love Instagram, but until now there hasn't really been an easy way of finding photos from a specific venue. We're here to fix that,” the site says. “We believe Worldcam is the best and easiest way of finding out what's happening right now, anywhere on the planet.”
