Approximately 1 Million Toyota, Lexus Vehicles Recalled

Approximately 1 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles are being recalled for for safety reasons. The recall includes Toyota Corolla, Matrix, and Lexus IS vehicles. 

The Toyota recall, according to a CBS Philadelphia article, involves 752,000 Corolla and Matrix models between December 2011 and May 2004. "The air bags in these vehicles can improperly inflate," according to the article.

The Lexus recall involves wipers on three models of Lexus IS models that were manufactured between May 2005 and October 2011. "On approximately 270,000 vehicles the wiper arm nut might not be sufficiently tight. If a buildup of heavy snow occurs on the windshield, one or both of the wipers could become inoperative."
