Plymouth Business Featured on Oscar Telecast

Action Karate, a Plymouth Township business, was featured in a 'Silver Linings Playbook' clip.

 

Plymouth's Action Karate now has an Oscar claim to fame, as it was featured in a clip from "Silver Linings Playbook," a Best Picture nominee that was filmed in the Norristown area.

"For a split second, Action Karate made the Oscar's Broadcast!!" said a Facebook post from the business, which was located on Conshohocken State Road and has since moved to Butler Pike in Plymouth Township.

Action Karate owner Sean Dwyer told Patch that the movie used the school's old Conshohocken Road location as a 'holding station' for two days in October of 2011.
