How to Get Rid of Your Christmas Tree

Disposing of trees in Whitemarsh, Plymouth, and Conshohocken

Now that Christmas has passed, it's time to get rid of that Christmas tree before you wind up with a new carpet of pine needles in the living room.

Plymouth Township:
Recycling will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 2. Residents are asked to put their used trees out for collection on their regularly scheduled recycling day, through January.

The Public Works department will then collect and chip the trees, turning them into publicly available mulch, free for the taking at 700 Belvoir Road. Residents are asked to remove all ornaments, lights, and stands.

Conshohocken:
Christmas trees will be picked up by the Public Works Department on Wednesdays. Residents are asked to remove all decorations and not to leave any artifical trees.

Whitemarsh: Christmas trees will be collected with the Wednesday yard work pick-up. Residents do not need to call the township to schedule a pick-up.
