Join Variety - The Children's Charity for our 6th Annual AWARE Walk!

Hundreds of families from the Greater Philadelphia Area will walk for Awareness, Resources, and Education at the Plymouth Meeting Mall on Sunday, April 15th, 2012.

"AWARE" is a 5k or 3.1 mile walk through the Plymouth Meeting Mall. Proceeds from the walk will benefit Variety’s Autism Resource Center.

Individuals, businesses, and community organizations are welcome to join with us for a morning of food, fun, entertainment, and exercise.

The event will be hosted by 6ABC's Amy Buckman. Several autism-related organizations will also be participating in a resource fair. Children-friendly activities such as face-painting, arts & crafts, and moon bounces will make it a fun time for everyone!

Over the last 6 years, Variety’s Autism Resource Center has helped hundreds of parents connect to resources, has held dozens of workshops across the area, provided quality social skills groups, established Variety's Autism Amabassadors in schools in the region and has had over 1,000 children with autism participate in one or more of our special recreational events.

Now we need YOUR support to continue the journey. April is Autism Awareness Month so we ask you to please consider giving your heart to children with autism by participating in our 6th Annual AWARE Walk.

Small quibble perhaps, however, last time I checked, Stella Blu and Gypsy Saloon were both in WestRead More Conshohocken, not Conshohocken. Credit where credit is due, please. I'm terribly proud of my hometown, you see.
