Baby Delivered in Car on Turnpike in Whitemarsh

Police say the father helped deliver the baby after pulling over on the Turnpike.

A woman gave birth to a baby boy inside a car on the side of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Thursday morning, ABC6 reports.

According to the news station, the blue Toyota Prius pulled over near mile marker 336.7 sometime before 9 a.m., and the father helped deliver the baby in the front seat of the car.

Mother and child were then transported to the Albert Einstein Medical Center, where they are reportedly both in good condition, the report said.

Check back later today for updates.

Small quibble perhaps, however, last time I checked, Stella Blu and Gypsy Saloon were both in WestRead More Conshohocken, not Conshohocken. Credit where credit is due, please. I'm terribly proud of my hometown, you see.
