A Day Out in Miles Park
The sun was only out for a few hours, but the warm weather brought families out to Whitemarsh's Miles Park.
For a few hours on the afternoon of Feb. 27, the weather was comparatively warmer and nicer than previous days, and the sun showed its smiling face for about two hours.
It was just enough time for Mount Airy residents Alysia and her young son Billy to explore the expansive jungle gym of Miles Park in Whitemarsh Township.
“We were out and about,” Alysia said. “I thought it was nice out, and we saw this park.”

According to the Patch directory listing of Miles Park, the park, located at 308 Germantown Ave. in Lafayette Hill, offers several other amenities, including picnic benches, baseball and soccer fields.
During the summer, according to the Whitemarsh Parks and Recreation website, Miles Park Camp offers various summer camp activities from swimming to day trips.
