Mercy Cancer Center, Mercy Suburban Hospital and Mercy Home Health Voted “Best” in Times Herald’s 2013 Readers’ Choice Awards

Conshohocken, PA (August 12, 2013): Mercy Cancer Center at Mercy Suburban Hospital (formerly known as Norristown Regional Cancer Center) has been voted “Best in Oncology”; Mercy Suburban Hospital has been voted one of the “Best Hospitals”, and for the third consecutive year Mercy Home Health has been voted one of the “Best in Home Health Care” in The Times Herald's 2013 Best of Montco Readers' Choice Awards. The annual awards are hosted by The Times Herald newspaper and readers nominate their favorite Montgomery County businesses and organizations.

 

Mercy Cancer Center, located on the campus of Mercy Suburban Hospital in East Norriton, began treating patients in the 12,000-square foot, two-story outpatient facility in July 2012. The Center provides patients with access to the most advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, oncology nurse navigation to help facilitate care, and complementary services such as art therapy.

Mercy Home Health well exceeded the measured patient satisfaction quality indicators in the first quarter of 2013. More than 90 percent of patients rated the quality of their care a nine or a 10.
