Woman Sues King of Prussia Nordstrom After Injury in Parking Lot

A Huntingdon Valley woman is seeking more than $75,000 in damages after she allegedly stepped into a hole in the parking lot, which caused her to fall and injure herself in May of 2011.

A woman who allegedly fell in the parking lot of Nordstrom at the King of Prussia Mall two years ago has filed a lawsuit seeking more than $75,000 in damages. According to a report in the Penn Record, Natalie Meltzer, of Huntingdon Valley, along with her husband, Robert, have filed the suit claiming that the fall occurred due to a hole in the parking lot surface. The lawsuit also states that the injury prevented Natalie from pursuing her normal, daily activities, and adds that she now experiences aches, pains, mental anguish and humiliation, the report states. King of Prussia Associates, Yarmouth Lend Lease KOP Inc., Kravco Maintenance Company, HRE Kravco II Inc., and RNA Kravco III Inc. were also listed as co-defendants, according to the …

The ‘rustic, southwestern Tex-Mex’ restaurant chain will open its first Pennsylvania location at the Plymouth Meeting Mall.

  Uncle Julio’s Fine Mexican Food Restaurant will open its first Pennsylvania location at the Plymouth Meeting Mall later this year, according to mall officials. Redstone American Grill Announces May Specials

Jamaican Jerk wings, sea bream sandwiches are among the specials.

  Redstone American Grill announced lunch and dinner specials through May 22, including salmon salad, corn and tomato linguini, and more. The restaurant, located at the Plymouth Meeting Mall, offers Jamaican jerk wings, grilled salmon salad, wood fired sea bream sandwich, corn and tomato linguini, with chicken breast and walnut parsley pesto crostini, and a buffalo chicken sandwich. Dinner specials include above, as well as a cowboy steak with beer-battered onion rings and gazpacho steak sauce, and citrus swordfish Nicoise. The dessert special is a New York cheesecake with toasted nut crust, berry coulis and whipped cream.

Former On Tap Philly Now 34 East Tavern

Known as the site of the former Finn McCool's, the bar and restaurant in downtown Ambler looks to open in June.

Originally named On Tap Philly, the bar and restaurant that once housed Finn McCool's in downtown Ambler now has a new name—34 East Tavern. According to its Facebook page, 34 East looks to open by June. Thirty-Four East Tavern boasts 24 rotating beers on tap, a new menu and outdoor patio dining. Its hours of operation are preliminarily set as 11 a.m. to midnight Monday and Tuesday; 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Wednesday to Saturday; and noon to midnight Sunday. 34 East Tavern is located at 34 E. Wet Seal Pays Millions to Settle Racial Discrimination Lawsuit

The trendy clothing retailer will pay a reported $7.5 million to settle a class action lawsuit, which originated after a manager from King of Prussia was fired for being black.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- Nicole Cogdell was working as a manager at Wet Seal in 2009, when she overheard the company's executive vice president tell the district manager that she "wasn't the right fit for the store" and that they needed someone "with blonde hair and blue eyes." Days later, Cogdell, a black woman, was fired from her job. Cogdell wasn't alone, however, as her assistant manager, Myriam Saint-Hilaire, and Kai Hawkins, who worked at The Gallery mall in Philadelphia, were also let go, according to Philly.com. Later, an email was sent by an executive stating the retailer needed to diversify its workforce, as it was too African-American. The Narcissa Road farm is now showcasing their products with sandwiches and platters.

  Maple Acres Farm on Narcissa Road in Plymouth is now serving breakfast and lunch daily, including sandwiches, pancakes, tacos and more. In addition to flowers, vegetables, meats and dairy, and other specialties, the farm is now also serving breakfast and lunch sandwiches and platters. For breakfast, the farm is making egg sandwiches with bacon or sausage and cheese and egg custard dipped sour dough bread with syrup and bacon or sausage. For lunch, customers have the option of beef burgers, hot roasted pork, meatball sandwich, homemade chicken salad sandwich, chicken salad platter, Caesar salad, bacon or soft tacos.

And are they now serving dog bites in the face with their breakfast... I am still shocked that the farm was not shut down in light of the suffering caused multiple times by their unregulated ferocious dog. I guess they paid off someone... A very sorry situation.   more ›
