The results of the 2012 election popular vote was 51% to 47% favoring the democratic party, hardly a minority. That would imply that nearly 50% of the American population voted republican. You need to follow the news. Democraticic Justice Roberts has inferred that gay rights will be upheld 6-3. Affirmative action quotas look to pass 7-2, and thats just the courts.
