Vote for PW's Best Bar or Pub

Patch readers nominated their favorites, and now it's time to decide who's best.

Vote for the best bar or pub in Plymouth, Whitemarsh and Conshohocken.

First, we asked our readers to nominate some of their favorite local businesses in a number of categories.

Now that we have our nominees, we again ask you, the reader, to cast your vote for your favorite. Our polls will be open through August 17, at which point we'll crown a winner in each category.

And the nominees are:

  • What is the area's best bar?

Is the General Lafayette Inn and Brewery even open??? Wondering how this place could be a contender in this poll.

The General Lafayette Inn in Lafayette Hill is back on the market.
Sovereign Bank, which acquired the property in a foreclosure, is asking $1.35 million.
The inn, on Germantown Pike just north of Chestnut Hill, was last operating as a brewpub. It closed in September 2010.
Kevin Barmann of Keller Williams is handling the sale; he says the package includes the restaurant, brewery equipment, liquor license, five-bedroom bed and breakfast, two parcels of land, and the cottage.

You have a bar on here that hasn't been open for going on two years and you don't have Brittingham's or Ye Olde Ale House? Ludicrous
