A three-month-old girl was medvaced Monday morning after police say she was burnt by hot coffee at the Cracker Barrel on Gallagher Road in Plymouth Township.

Police say the incident occurred just before 11:30 a.m., although they did not say how the spill occurred. However, police said that they believe the incident was an accident, and are not conducting a further investigation into the matter.

Police had to call in a second helicopter, after a first experienced mechanical difficulties and was grounded in what authorities called a precautionary measure.

The second chopper landed in the parking lot of Petsmart in the Metroplex Shopping Center just after noon, in heavy rain.    An EMS responder could be seen carrying the little girl, who appeared to be awake and alert, onto the helicopter, followed by a young plain-clothed woman, likely the child's mother.

Police say the girl suffered burns to her stomach, but that they did not believe her injuries were severe or life-threatening. After the girl was flown to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, responders remained on the scene as a mechanic worked to repair the first helicopter.
