SKETCHES: Three Suspects Wanted in Lafayette Hill Shooting
Police are looking for three individuals in connection with the attempted robbery and shooting of a 32-year-old man.
Whitemarsh Police have released sketches and descriptions of three suspects in the Aug. 22 shooting of a resident on the 4100 block of Joshua Road, Lafayette Hill.
Police reported that the 32-year-old man arrived at his home with a woman, also now considered a suspect, after meeting her in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, when two black males approached him and attempted to rob him. Police say that the man was shot twice in the attempted robbery, but was able to flee from his assailants through a thick brush in the back of the home.
The suspects then reportedly fled the scene in a small white vehicle, possibly heading southbound on Joshua Road. The victim was driven by his mother to Chestnut Hill Hospital and eventually transferred to Temple University Hospital, where he underwent surgery for two abdominal wounds, The Times Herald reported. Whitemarsh Police Chief Michael Beaty says the victim has since been released from the hospital and is recuperating at home.
"He is continuing to work with our detectives and was able to assist a State Police trooper with the sketches," Beaty said.
