Missing Quakertown Girl Found

Alanah Ross has returned home to Richland Township.

Former missing teenager Alanah Ross, of Richland Township, has been found.

According to the Facebook page of Ross's mother, Michelle Long Ross, Alanah has been found after "10 long, frightening days."

Ross credited her brother-in-law for helping get Alanah back home.

"You will all never know how much your outpouring of love and concern has meant to our family. There is no situation that I can think of that is more difficult than not knowing where your child is or if they are safe," wrote Ross in her Facebook post Tuesday night. "Alanah is thankfully safe and we are so glad she has been found."

Ross said the situation behind her daughter's disappearance is "difficult" and more involved than she can go into.

"PLEASE just know that we felt all the love and support that friends, family and many of you that we didn't even know have sent our way," wrote Ross. "Words cannot express our gratitude for everyone's part in finding Alanah."

I am so glad to see that your sister and daughter is home. I can not imagine the loss of a child in a possible child kidnapping. This has been my fear, since the day my children were born.
The outcome was a positive one, which so many are not.
Please wrap her in your arms and keep her close. She has been through a rough ordeal.
God bless you all! This is the best news that you will ever get in your lifetime.

the story doesn't say anything about kidnapping - was she abducted, did she run away, or did something else happen ?? no comment from the police...??

I think it doesn't help to speculate about what happened. That just invades the family's privacy. If there's a police matter, we'll hear about it. Otherwise, I think it's best to respect the family's privacy and share in the relief that they are reunited.

It would be a great justice to let the ppl of our town know more details for the fact that if there was a kidnapping we should know so everyone can protect their children! An the town was there to support you through your ordeal, now you should return the gratitude by letting us know if there was a kidnapping, if so was the person caught, I mean do we have a pyscho on the loose??! That's our right to know
