Actress Maria Bello to Host Fundraiser in Conshohocken

The event at the Great American Pub on Friday will benefit the actress's non-profit, We Advance.

 

Actress Maria Bello, of “Grown Ups,”  “A History of Violence” and “ER” fame, is in town this week and will hold a fundraiser at the Great American Pub for her non-profit, We Advance.

The event will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at a cost of $50 per person, or $80 per couple, according to Philly.com

Funds go towards the “movement to advance the health, safety, and well being of women throughout Haiti,” according to the We Advance website.

Bello was born in Norristown, graduated from Archboship Carroll High Schoo an attended Villanova Universityl. Her grandfather owned the Great American Pub when it was the Brown Derby.

“Yes, it means a lot to me to be able to have this event there at the place my grandfather owned,” Bello told the Times Herald. “My whole family is in the Norristown and Conshy area and it’s always great coming back and seeing them and all my friends.”

Bello has held several similar fundraisers across the country; the most recent was in Atlanta, Ga. in late March.
