Local Pumpkin Patches Offer Fall Flavor

Spend some time outdoors picking pumpkins and taking hay rides.

In time for fall, here is a look at some of the area's pumkpin patches, starting with Plymouth Meeting's Maple Acres Farm.

Maple Acres has a wide selection of big pumpkins, perfect for carving. There are also smaller pumpkins and mini pumpkins available, all the sizes you need to decorate your house for Halloween and the fall season.

To entertain the kids, and for some pictures, there is hay set up on the back of a tractor’s trailer for kids to play on. This entertained my niece, and the other kids at the farm, for a while.

You can also pick up some hay barrels to take home, corn stalks and Halloween decorations to complete the look you’re going for.

There are also fresh picked apples from Maple Acres fields, and plenty of fresh produce and meats.
